Meet Pam Burton

At the tender young age of 38, Pam Burton had finally given up trying to suppress the dark fantasies running around in her little head, and, with the not-so-subtle urging of artist friend Sandra Santara, decided to commit those images to paper and canvas. Four years later, she has taken the BDSM and Science Fiction communities by storm!

Pam was born October 1, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri to Geri and Forrest Machold. By the age of two, she was already drawing very detailed copies of pictures her father, a draftsman, drew for her. "I was always bugging my Dad to draw me dinosaurs and horses!" By the age of ten, she was learning anatomy form the "DeVincis of the pre-teens...Marvel Comics." She also received her first set of oils and went to town painting, of all things, Disney cartoons and Greek Goddesses! Looking back, Pam remembers those wonder years like they were yesterday... however, not much else was retained. "Never, EVER, let your child sleep with closed windows and open turpentine jars!"

In 1982, Pam briefly attended community college for commercial art where she quickly discovered how much she didn't want to be "that kind of artist." Instead, she discovered the world of bartending and the service industry. Today, after a twenty year sabbatical from art, her creative spark has been re-kindled with dark fantasy and erotic themes with beautiful, sexy women as her favorite subjects. Pam's style is primarily expressed through oils, acrylics, and pencils, although she has been known to do some sculpting from time to time.

Pam's work has won several awards in Science-Fiction and Fantasy art shows, and can be found at such venues as BDSM and other Lifestyle conventions, Pagan gatherings, Science-Fiction conventions, and medieval re-enactment events. "I'll go practically any place where they won't censor my work," she laughs. Her graphics have appeared in and on the covers of SageWoman and Goodwitch Stories magazines, as well as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Her limited-edition prints are entirely self-published at this time.

Pam and her husband Phillip reside in their home in St. Louis, MO, with their beloved labrador, Genny.
